Job Summary
AI/ML Engineer for the Synthetic Data Platform focusing on production augmentation and profile models. Responsibilities include designing, training, evaluating, and deploying models against real survey data; innovating to simulate survey responses; leveraging open-weight LLMs and custom architectures; collaborating with Data Science to ensure statistical testing integrity; and utilizing AI tooling such as Claude Code and agentic programming tools. Base in Prague with Europe-friendly remote options (remote work from Spain or the UK possible); office in Prague and full remote posture are supported. The team operates within an AI/ML group, delivering augmentation, profiling, and client-questions insights on synthetic data, with emphasis on production-ready pipelines and end-to-end experimentation. Requirements include strong maths/statistics, Python (Java a plus), ML techniques (SVM, gradient boosting), LLM understanding and fine-tuning experience, SQL/databricks familiarity, and a proactive, analytical mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of maths, probability, statistics and algorithms
- Programming skills in Python; Java a plus
- Experience with traditional ML tools and techniques (SVM, gradient boosting)
- Understanding of LLMs and fine-tuning (LoRA, distillation)
- Familiarity with SQL; Databricks a plus
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to present conclusions and influence outcomes
