Job Summary
AI/ML Engineer (Leased Labor 18-months) at Huawei Heisenberg Research Center in Munich. Responsibilities include applying state-of-the-art AI/ML approaches to the AEL Safety Team, setting up and maintaining end-to-end AI pipelines, handling large-scale datasets and deep learning frameworks, automating AI engineering lifecycles including model training and data labeling workflows, performing data pre- and post-processing, monitoring GPU resources for stability and performance, deploying open-source models and conducting benchmarks. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and hands-on experience with AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras), Python, data preprocessing/post-processing, CI/CD, Docker, and English proficiency (German/Chinese advantageous). The role involves integration into a high-performance team in Munich, Germany, with a contract-length of 18 months and no explicit remote-work component.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science / Analytics, Computer / Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Experience and proficient skills in AI/ML design, training and implementation, AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Python programming and data pre-/post-processing
- Experience in deploying AI models using LLM related model; experience in deployment of end-to-end models for automotive is an advantage
- Knowledge in CI/CD environments, Docker, scripting and build/deploy process automation
- Proficiency in English; German and/or Chinese knowledge are an advantage
