AI/ML Engineer

Job Summary
Implementing and maintaining RAG pipelines (document processing, embedding generation, retrieval configuration, prompt assembly); integrating LLMs into applications via APIs and frameworks; developing and maintaining REST API interactions for data retrieval and system integration; designing/refining PostgreSQL schemas to improve data organization and query performance. Must have active TS/SCI with Poly clearance and be willing to work onsite in McLean, VA (and Northern VA field offices), with a focus on mission-focused data engineering and AI/ML workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
- Bachelor's degree or higher (minimum 8 years experience with Bachelor's, 7 with Masters, 6 with Doctorate) or equivalent
- 8+ years experience with related AI/ML roles or PhD-level equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML libraries/frameworks
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic retrieval, and LLM integration
- Experience developing AI/ML applications and REST API integrations
- Willingness to work onsite full-time (40 hours/week)
- Knowledge of data engineering including document processing, embeddings, and PostgreSQL schemas
