Job Summary
AI/ML Data Scientist I at Nielsen focused on building measurement and planning solutions for publishers, advertisers, and agencies; identifying AI opportunities in projects; deploying and maintaining data pipelines and models in production; collaborating with cross-functional teams to productionize methodologies and communicate findings; and supporting research on methodology changes across cross-platform audience measurement, including data cleaning, dimension reduction, distance calculations, data integration, and automated evaluation in cloud environments. Strong emphasis on writing production-ready code, documentation, and reproducible data science workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 0-3 years work experience
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL
- Degree in data science, statistics, engineering, applied mathematics, operations research, information sciences, or another biological/physical science
- Proficiency in Git and code versioning tools (Gitlab)
- Proficiency in Atlassian Suite such as JIRA and Confluence
- Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud preferred)
- Knowledge of statistics and machine learning
- Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large datasets
- Knowledge of dashboarding and visualization tools like Spotfire/Tableau
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
