Job Summary

Stay close to AI developments, tools, research, and policy to identify high-impact changes for New Zealand. Translate findings into client briefings, articles, board papers, decks, and videos, while converting keynotes and expert input into structured learning modules for the AI Academy. Write scripts, prepare presenters, and manage recording and editing workflows for client and Academy content. Organise a varied portfolio of Institute work, prioritise competing requests, and maintain a forward plan for briefings, videos, and live learning. Coordinate with Deloitte leaders, specialists, and contributors to deliver research, recordings, and learning resources. Manage the Academy's current status, track participant learning, and prepare quarterly performance reports. Work directly with the AI Institute Director to shape arguments and refine materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong technical foundation in AI, data science, computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity or another engineering discipline
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or substantial professional experience in a technical role
  • Extensive hands-on experience with current AI tools
  • Habit of tinkering
  • Use of AI regularly in own work
  • Testing new tools as they emerge
  • Knowledge of where tools help, where they fail and what remains unproven
  • Highly organised
  • Comfortable working at pace
  • Ability to plan and prioritise a varied portfolio
  • Ability to anticipate deadlines
  • Ability to keep several workstreams moving
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication
  • Ability to make technical developments accessible while preserving their substance
