AI Innovation Manager

Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of AI specialists and data scientists; define AI innovation strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals; oversee development and deployment of AI solutions across the organization; drive research initiatives to explore cutting-edge AI technologies; establish best practices for AI development, MLOps, and model governance; collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities; manage project priorities, timelines, and resource allocation; ensure AI solutions meet ethical standards and regulatory requirements; present AI strategies and results to executive leadership; build partnerships with academic institutions and industry thought leaders; conduct performance reviews and drive career development for team members; manage the team budget and vendor relationships. Preferred advanced degrees and experience in financial services or fund administration, generative AI/LLM, and AI product commercialization are noted as enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field preferred
- 6-10 years of experience in AI/ML development and implementation
- 3+ years of people management and team leadership experience
- Deep expertise in machine learning and AI technologies
- Track record of delivering impactful AI solutions
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience managing AI projects from concept to production at scale
- Knowledge of AI ethics, governance, and regulatory landscape
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams
