Job Summary
Senior Backend Developer (remote Europe) responsible for maintaining and improving existing functionality and developing new parts of a .NET Core-based backend. Responsibilities include delivering value to customers, improving stability and observability, designing, refactoring, fixing bugs, and writing tests; reviewing code and sharing knowledge with the team. Requires 5+ years in .NET development, strong OOP/design-pattern fundamentals, experience with database concurrency, and the ability to justify decisions with metrics. Willingness to operate in a fast-paced startup environment with a growth mindset and openness to feedback. Technologies include .NET Core, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS, Elasticsearch, ELK/EFK, Prometheus, and Grafana. Strong communication in English is required. This role is fully remote in Europe with ideal locations across Serbia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, and Romania, and emphasizes ownership, high-impact collaboration, and building scalable backend systems.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in .NET development
- Knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns
- Experience with Database concurrency
- Upper-Intermediate English (written and spoken)
- A data-driven approach (justify decisions with concrete metrics)
