Job Summary
Conduct hands-on development and technical research on real-world AI and FinTech initiatives, focusing on agentic simulation, retrieval optimization, and forecasting. Build tool-constrained agents, diagnose system failures, and test new techniques against real cost and latency constraints. Read current literature to turn promising ideas into tested experiments rather than summaries, completing two five-to-six-month rotations with shipped contributions and proof-of-concepts. Work with discipline mentors through fixed checkpoints, applying Python, deep-learning fundamentals, and reproducible version control.
Required Qualifications
- Solid Python: you have written code someone else could run
- LLM and deep-learning fundamentals at working depth
- APIs, pipelines, and tooling: you can wire a system together
- Prototyping with modern AI frameworks, end to end
- You read technical papers without handholding
- Version control and reproducible code as a habit
- A retrieval or RAG project you can talk through
- Agent or tool-calling work including where it failed
- An evaluation habit
- Applied ML or statistics grounding
- A senior student graduating in 2027, or a graduate within one year of graduation
- Major: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, Data Science, Communication and Networks Engineering, Business Informatics, or Actuarial Science
- Professional English: you will read papers and write technical documentation
- Available for the full twelve months, starting October 2026
- Full-time on site with one remote day accommodated, on site throughout the first six months
