Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of AI and software engineers while improving end-to-end development of custom AI solutions from architecture through production deployment. Partner with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to prioritize work, define technical roadmaps, and deliver measurable outcomes. Establish engineering best practices for AI development, including MLOps, LLMOps, testing, observability, security, and responsible AI. Evaluate latest AI technologies and frameworks to guide the use of scalable, reusable platforms that accelerate solution delivery. This role requires 7+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years leading teams, plus hands-on expertise in LLMs, RAG, and vector databases. Based in WA, the position offers a base salary of $150,000-$210,000 and includes a discretionary bonus.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading engineering teams delivering enterprise ready solutions
- 2+ years industry experience with focus on building and deploying AI and GenAI applications
- Broad technology experience throughout systems development lifecycle, and various areas of technology architecture (infrastructure, application architecture, data architecture, integration)
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/GenAI applications using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, vector databases
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, APIs, DevOps/MLOps, with experience deploying AI solutions in platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts to partners, and balance innovation with security, governance, and responsible AI practices
- Experience with the investment management and wealth management industry
- Be a coach, building the design and development skills of other team members
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience
