Job Summary
AI Engineer to build and maintain AI infrastructure for government AI capabilities, focusing on cloud environments, secure data handling, AI model deployment, ML pipelines, and rapid prototyping/validation of AI technologies. Responsibilities include managing GCC-based AI workloads, ensuring secure connectivity to government systems, implementing security protocols, performing technical due diligence on new AI tech, building POCs, stress-testing vendor APIs and model endpoints, and developing automated data pipelines with MLOps for model deployment and serving. Required skills include: Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch/scikit-learn, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), API development for AI services, data integration/ETL, and experience with AI governance, security, and government contexts. Proactive learner with strong communication for documenting AI solutions and stakeholder presentation, capable of managing multiple AI projects in parallel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/Machine Learning, or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or related technical roles
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure management for AI workloads (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of MLOps practices, model deployment, and monitoring
- Experience with API development and integration, particularly for AI services
- Understanding of data pipeline tools and ETL processes for AI applications
