Job Summary
AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions for life sciences clients; lead integration of AI APIs, develop POCs and rapid prototypes, and create internal and client-facing tools. Role involves using cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), building data pipelines and ETL workflows for AI model training and inference, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying current with AI/ML advancements, prompt engineering, RAG, and responsible AI practices. Strong emphasis on delivering scalable, production-ready AI solutions with excellent communication and client-facing skills; preferred advanced degree and multiple years of experience in AI engineering and customer-facing work.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building AI/ML applications (LLMs, Generative AI, NLP)
- Strong proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries/frameworks
- Proven experience integrating AI APIs into production-grade applications
- Experience building and deploying internal tools and client-facing tools
- Ability to build client-facing tools that are reliable and production-ready
- Experience building POCs and rapid prototypes for AI-driven solutions
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services
- API development and version control
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and databases
- Familiar with data pipeline tools and data warehouse technologies
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and AI agent frameworks
- Strong knowledge of AI safety and responsible AI practices
- Knowledge of US pharma datasets and healthcare concepts is a plus
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills
- Proficient in Agile/Scrum and project management tools
- Genuine passion for ongoing AI development and experimentation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (internal and client facing)
- Preferred: Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MBA, or MS) in CS/AI/DS or related field
- 4+ years AI/ML engineering experience (AI Engineer) or 6+ years (Senior AI Engineer) including client-facing roles
