AI Engineer – Schwerpunkt Generative KI Systeme (m/w/d)

Job Summary
Identify complex business problems and develop AI solutions focusing on Generative AI and AI Engineering. Design, train, and optimize models such as Language Models, Diffusion Models, and multimodal systems. Build data-driven architectures to integrate models into APIs, platforms, and cloud services using Retrieval-Augmented Generation techniques. Enhance both open-source and closed-source models through advanced prompt engineering and fine-tuning. Automate pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment using MLOps practices in the cloud. Support business units with internal AI tools to improve decision-making and efficiency. This role requires a university degree in Computer Science or related fields and strong expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and modern ML frameworks. Proficiency in GCP, containerization, and Git is essential. Fluent German skills are required for internal communication.
Required Qualifications
- Hochschulabschluss in Informatik, Data Science, Mathematik oder einem verwandten Bereich
- Ausgeprägte Expertise in den Bereichen Machine Learning und Generative AI, insbesondere mit LLMs und Diffusion Models
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Python sowie in modernen ML- und GenAI-Frameworks und -Libraries wie PyTorch, TensorFlow und relevanten GenAI-Tools
- Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Evaluierung von ML-/LLM-Modellen, einschließlich Prompt Engineering, Fine-Tuning, Benchmarks sowie produktiver Deployment-Workflows
- Sicherer Umgang mit mit Cloud- und MLOps-Umgebungen, insbesondere GCP, Containerisierung, Git-basierter Versionierung und modernen ML-Workflows
- Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
