Job Summary
As an AI Engineer IV at Samsara, you will build, ship, and scale AI applications throughout the entire lifecycle, from design to production. You will architect AI capabilities and integrate solutions within operational workflows. Responsibilities include developing AI-powered solutions to enhance business functions, collaborating with engineers and data scientists, and applying software engineering best practices for reliability and maintainability. Candidates need strong Python skills, expertise in AI/ML, production-grade Generative AI experience, and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering or AI product development
- 3+ years of experience owning the development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support of web applications and backend APIs
- 1+ year of experience building and deploying production-ready Generative AI solutions
- Strong expertise in Python and AI/ML fundamentals
- Experience with AI agent development frameworks and tooling
