Job Summary
AI Engineer role based in Latin America focused on designing and building AI-powered products for the heavy equipment service domain. Lead development of intelligent retrieval systems, RAG pipelines, agentic architectures, and AI content synthesis to capture field repairs and generate verified training content. Architect and deploy production-grade AI systems in cloud environments (GCP/AWS), design APIs with controlled data access, ensure reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Collaborate across product, engineering, and customer success to translate user needs into scalable AI capabilities and validate AI outputs against real repair outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as software engineer
- 2+ years building production AI/ML systems (RAG, agentic, tool-calling)
- 5+ years Python experience in production-grade systems
- 2+ years deploying/scaling AI workloads on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
- Strong understanding of embeddings, vector databases, retrieval techniques
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)
- Prompt engineering and multimodal models processing text/images/video/docs
- Ability to design/evaluate high-accuracy AI systems and validation strategies
- Strong product mindset and collaboration with product managers
- Learning agility with emerging AI technologies
