Job Summary
As an AI Engineer at Westfield, you will build AI services in Python and implement clean APIs for enterprise systems. Your responsibilities include designing retrieval and agent flows, implementing governance around data handling, creating evaluation automation tools, ensuring system observability, and maintaining operational rigor. You will work collaboratively with asset teams and utilize CI/CD practices for frequent deployments. The role requires a solid foundation in software engineering, proven experience with GenAI, and familiarity with containerization and observability tools.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience
- At least 1 production-deployed GenAI use case for real business users or consumers
- Strong Python skills and microservice fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with AI orchestration frameworks
- Containerization understanding and hands-on experience
- Observability experience with metrics and logs
- CI/CD discipline and familiarity with code-quality/security gates
- Understanding of governance including audit logs and RBAC
Desired Qualifications
- Experience deploying and supporting multiple custom GenAI use cases in production
- Familiarity with MCP, A2A, or other AI integration standards
- Experience with RAG and vector search
- Experience with Python dependency/build management (e.g., uv)
- Familiarity with ASGI servers (e.g., uvicorn)
