AI Engineer II

AI Engineer II to design, build, and deploy generative AI applications including agentic workflows and intelligent chat experiences that transform how employees interact with benefits. You will own end-to-end AI features, influence architecture decisions around LLMs and agent systems, mentor junior engineers, and bring secure, scalable AI solutions to production on AWS. Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Responsibilities include system design and development of scalable back-end systems, prototyping to reduce risk, end-to-end product ownership, observability and reliability (logging, monitoring, SLIs/SLOs), deployment and release management with IaC, code quality and testing, cloud security, generative AI capabilities (prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, memory management, agent orchestration), and mentorship plus collaboration in hiring. The role emphasizes building agentic AI workflows or AI-powered chat systems, evaluation of frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, and Amazon Bedrock, and contributing to a culture of engineering excellence.
