Job Summary
AI Engineer based in Sri Lanka who designs and ships end-to-end AI solutions for enterprise problems, including agentic AI systems, LLM-powered applications, and production ML pipelines. Work involves collaboration with customer-facing teams, pre-sales and proof-of-concept engagements, and delivery of production-grade AI solutions through cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments. Responsibilities include problem framing, data exploration, model development, API integration, deployment, and maintaining guardrails and responsible AI controls. Required skills include Python, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn), LangChain/LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, model evaluation, MLOps, REST APIs, Docker/Kubernetes, and experience communicating complex AI concepts to stakeholders. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, customer engagement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with a focus on deploying scalable AI solutions for enterprise customers and domains such as regulated industries.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience, including end-to-end model development and production deployment
- Demonstrable experience building LLM-powered applications - RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, fine-tuned models, or similar
- Strong Python engineering skills; experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and LLM tooling (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent)
- Experience deploying models and AI services in cloud or enterprise environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, on-prem Kubernetes)
- Solid grounding in modern GenAI concepts: prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, RLHF, model evaluation, guardrails, and LLMOps
- Backend development skills: REST APIs, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines for AI applications
- Clear communicator who can explain complex AI systems to non-technical stakeholders
