AI Engineer

AI Engineer in Guidewire Professional Services based in Bangalore. You will join the AI Engineering team as a dedicated AI-side member of a Strike Team, pairing with a Product Engineer to deliver end-to-end AI productization projects. Your work centers on harness engineering to build and maintain LLM harnesses (agent loops, tool/function calling, context construction, memory, retries, failure handling), and on prompt engineering (design, iteration, versioning, evaluation). You will develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, manage embeddings and vector indexes, implement data parsing and curation, and create accuracy validation scripts. The role includes light ML tasks, data analysis to inform AI design, and collaboration with an AI Architect and a Senior AI Engineer. KPI focus includes AI feature accuracy, prompt iteration velocity, RAG/retrieval quality, on-time deliverables, and evaluation coverage. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Data Science or related field, 3+ years in AI or data science, strong Python and data science stack skills, hands-on experience with LLM harnesses and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph) and vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval evaluation, and a strong emphasis on producing production-ready code. Preferred skills include agent frameworks, eval harnesses, cloud experience (AWS Bedrock/SageMaker), model fine-tuning, familiarity with Guidewire or insurance data, and domain analysis experience.
