Job Summary
Architect end-to-end system architectures spanning mobile, web, backend, and cloud; write gap-free specifications for AI agents to generate production-grade code; direct AI coding agents to deliver complete implementations; guide and validate AI-generated work for correctness and security; evolve AI-first development practices and documentation; contribute to specification templates and development practices to scale the approach across the engineering organization. Requires 5+ years of software experience, full-stack literacy across Flutter, React, Java, SQL, and AWS, strong systems thinking, exceptional written communication, ability to write precise technical specifications, and comfort with AI-assisted development. Anticipated base salary for the position in the US is $185,000 - $193,000 with benefits and bonus potential; remote role within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- principal-level depth in at least one domain (mobile, web frontend, backend services, or infrastructure)
- Full-stack literacy across Flutter/Dart, React/TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot, SQL, and cloud infrastructure
- Systems thinking and ability to trace UI changes to API/schema/query performance
- Exceptional written communication; ability to write detailed, unambiguous specifications (500-line technical specs)
- Fast pattern recognition to identify wrong code, missing edge cases, and architectural problems
- AI fluency and experience building with AI agents
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change
