Job Summary
Support a team of software engineers in product development through guidance, code reviews, and technical support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure successful project delivery. Assist in team growth via mentorship, coaching, and career planning while contributing to engineering strategy and technology assessments. Manage tasks, prioritize work, and monitor timelines, resources, and budgets to meet goals. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks as they arise. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team. DXC Technology leverages AI to drive outcomes for global enterprises and public sector organizations through managed infrastructure and application modernization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry
- 2+ years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
- Strong programming and debugging skills
- Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
- Relevant certifications or training a plus
