Job Summary
Principal Engineer Product Security responsible for shaping the product security strategy, strengthening security maturity, and enabling secure, API-first applications across multi-cloud environments. You will formulate and evangelise security strategy, drive remediation of risks, embed security tooling into the development process, conduct risk assessments and threat modelling, and collaborate with product management, engineers, and legal/compliance. You will also lead customer conversations on product security, review external penetration findings, and help teams address security shortcomings. This role is hybrid with three days per week in Berlin, London, or Valencia offices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Product Security
- 2+ years of leadership in Product Security
- Experience with customer-facing security roles and influencing roadmaps
- Experience in scale-up environments
- Expertise in security architecture design reviews and threat modeling
- Experience infusing security into SDLC
- Experience with Static Analysis and Secure Code Review
- Linux systems, Kubernetes, Terraform, Vault, API, and web app security
- DevSecOps experience and scripting (JavaScript or Go)
- Project management across multiple teams
- Agile environment with customer focus
- Training or onboarding experience
- Fluent English communication
