AI Engineer/ Anthropic Architect (FDE)

Job Summary
Hybrid AI Engineer/Anthropic Architect role embedded with BIG’s enterprise customers to design, build, and ship production AI applications powered by Claude. Serve as the primary technical SME on Anthropic ecosystem, deliver artifacts and demos, lead rapid prototyping and PoCs, coordinate with delivery, sales, and partner teams, design scalable enterprise AI architectures across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and advise on agentic workflow design, multi-agent orchestration, and RAG patterns. Build and deliver architecture blueprints and roadmaps, translate customer requirements into technical solutions, and contribute reusable assets and knowledge sharing to the team.Qualifications include 5+ years in software/consulting roles, 2+ years building production AI apps with LLMs, strong Python skills, and experience with LangGraph/LangChain or similar frameworks; cloud experience and enterprise-facing communication are essential. Nice-to-have items include Claude API familiarity, vector databases, evaluation/observability tooling, enterprise sales experience, certifications, and a related degree.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in software engineering, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or a customer-facing AI role
- 2+ years hands-on experience building production applications with LLMs — Claude, GPT-4, or equivalent enterprise models
- Strong Python skills; proficiency in TypeScript, Java, or another secondary language is a plus
- Experience with agent development and frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or DSPy
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven ability to conduct technical discovery with enterprise customers and translate requirements into architecture decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to operate autonomously in customer environments
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field
- Hands-on experience with Anthropic Claude API, Claude Code, MCP servers, or Claude for Enterprise
- Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector), and document processing pipelines
- Experience with evaluation and observability tooling for LLMs (LangSmith, Braintrust, Weights & Biases, MLflow)
- Background in enterprise sales cycles, deal structuring, or professional services delivery
- Anthropic, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications relevant to AI/ML workloads
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong Python skills; knowledge of TypeScript/Java/other languages as a plus
- Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or DSPy
- Experience designing agentic systems and LLM deployments at scale
