Job Summary
AI Engineer/Anthropic Architect (FDE) at Bits In Glass leads as a hybrid role spanning AI Engineering, Applied AI Architecture, and Forward Deployed Engineering. You'll embed with enterprise customers to design and ship production AI applications powered by Claude, deliver technical artifacts, lead rapid prototyping, and advise on agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration. You’ll design enterprise-grade AI architectures leveraging Claude APIs and cloud platforms, translate complex requirements into architecture roadmaps, mitigate risks, integrate Anthropic solutions with cloud hyperscalers, and support pre-sales with demos, POCs, and technical content. The position requires senior-level experience in software engineering or customer-facing AI roles, hands-on experience with LLMs, strong Python, optional TypeScript/Java/J, cloud proficiency, and excellent communication and autonomous work style. Remote-friendly with Canada, US, UK, and India clients, and opportunities for meaningful, high-impact AI projects across enterprise clients.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in software engineering, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or a customer-facing AI role
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building production applications with LLMs (Claude, GPT-4, or equivalent)
- Strong Python skills; proficiency in TypeScript, Java, or another secondary language is a plus
- Experience building or designing agentic systems using LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or DSPy
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven ability to conduct technical discovery with enterprise customers and translate requirements into architecture decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engineers and executives
- High agency, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to operate autonomously in customer environments
