AI Engineer

Job Summary
Develop new AI products and features to be incorporated into platform learning experiences and content creation workflows. Work with a small team to iterate and ship new products. Build full-stack applications using GenAI tools to explore product ideas and user experiences. Apply GenAI building blocks (prompt engineering, RAG, finetuning, agentic frameworks, evals, guardrails) to real-world development. Learn quickly about new technologies in AI and other areas. Maintain organization and proactively communicate status. Skills include software development, cloud deployment, AI tooling, frontend (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Typescript, Tailwind), backend (Python), and experience with LLMs and related APIs. Strong early-career experience in software development and AI/LLM projects, plus excellent communication and teamwork. Bonus: experience in education/educational technology, product management, user testing, and rapid iteration.
Required Qualifications
- Strong software development background
- Experience with GenAI tools and frameworks (prompt engineering, RAG, finetuning, agentic workflows)
- Proficiency with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Typescript, Tailwind) and Python back-end
- Experience with ML/AI projects and LLM APIs/frameworks
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team
- Bachelor’s or equivalent practical experience preferred by many teams; not required to state a degree in description
