Job Summary
AI Developer role focusing on designing, building, and scaling production-grade AI systems (including copilots, agent-based workflows, and automation tools) within State Street/CRD platforms. Key responsibilities include building LLM-based solutions using orchestration and tool-calling patterns, implementing RAG pipelines, developing multi-agent systems, embedding AI capabilities into core workflows, and ensuring performance, scalability, and security. Requires hands-on engineering in AI/ML, cloud-native services, API-driven architectures, distributed systems, and collaborative cross-functional delivery. Preferred: experience with investment-management or financial data platforms, MCP frameworks, and modern SDLC practices.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- 2–5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong understanding of modern AI architectures (LLMs, RAG, APIs, orchestration layers)
- Experience delivering AI/ML-powered applications into production
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Familiarity with MCP frameworks, tool-calling patterns, and agent orchestration
- Experience with Python and at least one additional language (Java, C#, or TypeScript)
- Experience with API-driven architectures, microservices, and event streaming (Kafka, Event Hub)
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: testing, CI/CD, code quality, and design patterns
- Knowledge of distributed caching (Redis, Hazelcast) and performance optimization patterns
- Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, and security best practices
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and secure coding practices
