Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain AI agents, workflows, and pipelines that integrate LLMs into member-facing features and internal tools. Monitor performance, cost, reliability, and output quality of these systems in production while integrating LLM APIs and third-party AI services into the Rails backend. Evaluate and select AI tools balancing capability, cost, and reliability, then collaborate with teams to identify opportunities where AI improves member experience or internal workflows. Troubleshoot issues and iterate quickly as models and best practices evolve. This role supports the industry's leading product review company, helping consumers make informed purchasing decisions through trusted product insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience building applications that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI APIs
- Experience designing and integrating backend services and APIs
- Experience with vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and AI agent frameworks
- Experience evaluating and integrating third-party AI services and tools
- Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with observability or monitoring for AI systems (tracing, evals, logging, cost and latency tracking)
