Job Summary
Monitor and evaluate emerging AI vendors, platforms, and technologies across conversational AI, machine learning, and big data infrastructure. Translate research findings into actionable recommendations while supporting end-to-end design and implementation of AI workflows. Operate hands-on within platforms to build solutions, optimize model performance, and prepare data for machine learning applications. Develop and run experiments to compare approaches and determine the most effective strategies for improving product capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with modern AI/ML ecosystems and key vendors across conversational AI, machine vision, and data platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas
- Experience working with large datasets, SQL, and data processing pipelines
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, APIs, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure
- Experience taking ML projects from experimentation/prototyping through to production
- Experience working with LLMs, generative AI, NLP, computer vision, or other relevant AI technologies
- Comfortable operating in a greenfield environment — defining structure and governance where none yet exists
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field or diploma equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Experience taking ML projects from experimentation/prototyping through to production is an asset
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments is preferred
