Job Summary
Partner with strategic startup customers as their technical thought partner to build novel applications on the OpenAI API, guiding them from ideation through delivery and scaling. Provide proactive guidance to maximize business impact, experiment and prototype alongside clients to demonstrate practical use cases, and synthesize feedback for Product and Research teams. Contribute to open-source resources by sharing knowledge, codifying best practices, and publishing useful materials while building relationships within the broader startup ecosystem. This role requires fluency in Japanese and English, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer or equivalent
- Proficient in Python
- Proficient in JavaScript
- Strong grasp of AI/LLM best practices
- Ability to speak Japanese and English fluently
- Must be based in Tokyo
- Must be available for a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week
- Must be eligible for relocation assistance
