Job Summary
AI Decisioning Lead for Japan: own end-to-end AI lifecycle for Braze customers in Japan in a highly strategic, hybrid role that blends sales support as a technical SME with forward-deployed delivery post-sales. Be the subject-matter expert on AI Decisioning capabilities to help brands predict customer behavior, automate orchestration, and scale hyper-personalized engagement. Start as an Individual Contributor with potential growth into a management role in Japan/APAC. Primary responsibilities include Visionary Pitching and roadmaps to C-level prospects, discovery workshops, AI Academy sessions, and customer readiness assessments; post-sales adoption and optimization, experimentation design, business reviews, and technical troubleshooting as the bridge between Japan clients and global product/engineering teams. Data-architecture and integration work with Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery to ensure clean data pipelines into Braze. Requires 5+ years in enterprise client-facing roles, strong SQL/Python/R skills, ML concepts, deep MarTech/data stack knowledge, native Japanese and business English, and a consultative mindset to translate data science into business value.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a highly technical, enterprise client-facing role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Forward-Deployed Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or Data Consultant)
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python/R, and latest AI tools for data analysis and machine learning
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and how they apply to consumer marketing
- Deep understanding of the modern data stack and marketing ecosystem (CDPs, Data Warehouses like Snowflake/BigQuery, and CRM/Marketing Automation tools)
- Native/Fluent Japanese and Business-level English
- Proven ability to translate complex data science and AI jargon into clear, value-driven business language for non-technical stakeholders
- Agility: a builder mentality—comfortable navigating ambiguity and defining a brand-new role in a fast-paced environment
