Job Summary
Design and implement machine learning models, Gen-AI (LLM), and NLP models to solve complex business challenges and build scalable solutions for predictive modeling and decision support. Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, generate actionable insights, and produce intuitive visual reports and dashboards for non-technical audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to collect, interpret data, and tailor visualizations to specific needs while advocating for data science best practices. Maintain an active TS or CBP BI security clearance and work within a distributed team environment supporting national digital outreach programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Data Science
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Information Systems
- Master's degree
- Active TS or CBP BI
- Working knowledge and understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, and dimensionality reduction
- Experience with Large and Small Language models, Vision models, Prompt and Context engineering
- Experience with advanced techniques like deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing (NLP)
- Experience with ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost)
- Strong foundation in statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
- Proficiency with Data Visualization tools like Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, QlikView, or D3.js
- Experience with AWS data and analytics technologies including EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Comprehend, QuickSight, Glue, and S3
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and ML development
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
