Job Summary
AI Creative Director at GHD to lead the shift to AI-powered creativity across a globally distributed marketing and creative team. Combines hands-on creative direction, advanced AI capability, and brand stewardship to embed generative tools into workflows, improving speed, quality, consistency, and creative range while translating brand strategy into practical systems, assets, templates, examples, and guardrails. Based in Santiago (Chile) under a hybrid model with an expectation to attend the office three times per week. Responsibilities include leading AI-driven creative outputs across campaigns, presentations, client-facing materials, and marketing formats; developing AI-assisted production methods, prompts, templates, and repeatable workflows; mentoring designers and regional teams on AI-enabled methods; maintaining responsible AI usage standards, human creative judgment, consistency, and brand quality; translating insights into standout concepts that strengthen the brand; and shaping scalable processes for distributed teams.
Required Qualifications
- Ideally tertiary qualification in Fine Arts, Design, or Marketing
- 5+ years' experience in creative direction or agency leadership roles
- Experience translating brand strategy into practical creative systems, assets, guardrails, and examples
- Credible experience using AI tools in real creative workflows and production environments
- Ability to translate insights into standout concepts that strengthen brand and deliver measurable results
- Mentoring teams on AI tools, presenting to executives, and using platforms like Figma and generative design tools
- High proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- High proficiency with Figma alongside node-based generative tools (e.g., ComfyUI, Weavy, Flora, Krea, Freepik Spaces) is highly regarded
- A professional portfolio validating artistic excellence, practical AI applications, and scaled team capabilities
- Commitment to hybrid work model with office attendance three times per week
