Job Summary
AI Compliance and Systems Engineer to operationalize AI governance within enterprise systems, designing and implementing technical controls and guardrails for AI usage, evaluating AI tools and vendors, and ensuring governance is embedded in pipelines, APIs, and system architectures. You’ll translate regulatory requirements (ISO/NIST/AI RMF) into technical specifications, support AI risk monitoring and lifecycle oversight, and partner with product, engineering, and security teams to enable safe AI adoption while maintaining compliance. The role includes bridging legal requirements with real-world system behavior, contributing to incident response related to AI systems, and helping to define approved patterns and usage models for AI tools. A bachelor's degree and 5–10 years of relevant experience are required, with hands-on work across LLMs, APIs, cloud environments, and security-focused governance. Hybrid work schedule is offered, with on-site responsibilities in State College, PA and remote/hybrid options within Pennsylvania.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in AI/ML systems, security engineering, or technical risk/compliance roles
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic)
- API integrations and data pipelines
- Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong understanding of AI/ML system architecture and lifecycle
- Data security, access controls, and secure design principles
- Ability to evaluate technical implementations of AI, not just conceptual models
