Job Summary
AI Builder role responsible for designing, building, and shipping production-grade agentic AI workflows on the Vertex/Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform to automate Tempo’s business operations. You’ll collaborate with PMO, Procurement, and Enterprise Applications to identify automation opportunities, wire agents into Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace, and finance systems, implement tooling, governance, and safety controls, and measure adoption and hours saved. The role requires hands-on experience with LLMs/agentic AI, familiarity with Gemini/Claude/Slackbot/Rovo, strong prompt engineering and API integration skills, proficiency in Python, and the ability to operate in a North American, remote-first environment. You will contribute to building reusable playbooks, guardrails, logging, and a culture of secure, observable automation, while staying current with AI landscapes and enterprise needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of software, AI/ML, data, or automation engineering experience in technology or SaaS environments
- 1+ year of hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic AI
- Hands-on familiarity with the Vertex AI / Gemini Enterprise Agent Builder platform (or comparable enterprise agent platform)
- Experience with Gemini, Claude, Slack/Slackbot, and Atlassian Rovo integration
- Strong skills in prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and API integration; proficiency in Python (or similar)
- Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and memory grounding against enterprise knowledge sources
- Understanding of AI safety, governance, and human-in-the-loop workflows
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to translate business processes into automated workflows
- Based in North America and able to work core hours in the Eastern time zone
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in high-growth environments and knowledge of Atlassian ecosystem (plus)
