Job Summary
Base Camp Builder-in-Residence embedded with Summit's investment and operations teams to identify, build and deploy AI-powered tools starting with internal workflows and scaling solutions across Summit's portfolio. Work alongside Summit professionals to identify high-value AI opportunities and build tools that improve the firm’s day-to-day operations, then deploy them across portfolio companies. Candidates should be builders first with Python, LLM APIs and agent frameworks; systems thinker; business-curious; high-agency and able to operate in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. The role is based in Summit Partners’ Boston office and requires full-time in-office presence five days per week. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $150,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of professional experience
- Background in computer science, engineering or a quantitative field preferred
- Demonstrated experience building with LLMs, agents or AI-powered applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
