Job Summary
Design and deliver full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular while shaping technical direction and architectural decisions. Embed AI development tools like Devin and GitHub Copilot into daily workflows, establishing shared standards for prompt engineering and quality guardrails to drive team-wide adoption. Set the technical bar through rigorous code reviews, clear architectural guidance, and hands-on mentorship of mid-level engineers. Apply sound data design principles across Oracle and MongoDB databases to ensure integrity and performance, while maintaining a cloud-native mindset with infrastructure as code and Kubernetes orchestration. Make high-stakes engineering decisions balancing technical quality, business impact, security, and regulatory context.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- Meaningful time in a senior, lead, or principal capacity on complex, enterprise-grade systems
- Experience delivering software in a financial service, fintech, or similarly regulated, high-complexity environment
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentor engineers in a senior individual contributor capacity
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to engineering and business audiences alike
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of Java and the Spring Framework ecosystem
- Hands-on experience with Angular
- Working knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and MongoDB
- Practical, daily use of AI coding tools with a solid conceptual understanding of how they work - including prompt engineering, context window management, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tokenization, and grounding techniques
- Familiarity with cloud-native concepts - containerization, infrastructure as code, CI/CD practices, and delivery metrics such as DORA
- Comfortable reasoning about system design in a cloud-native context
- Familiarity with 12-Factor App principles and microservices architecture
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Angular at production scale
- React or Vue as additional frontend exposure
- Exposure to agentic AI patterns, MCP, A2A workflows, or agent development frameworks such as Google ADK
- Master's degree preferred
