Job Summary
AI Architect at Cyclotron leads architecture for production AI systems on client engagements, owning discovery, design, delivery oversight, and knowledge transfer. Role is client-facing, requires fluency across Microsoft OpenAI Anthropic ecosystems, and involves building agentic solutions, designing RAG pipelines, and contributing to reference architectures, prompts, and MCP servers. Collaboration with senior architects, pair programming, and clear communication with directors, managers, and engineers. Emphasis on hands-on AI tooling, portfolio of toolsets (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AI Search, Claude API, Agents SDK, MCP, skills), and growth into executive conversations. Certifications and hands-on exploration time supported by the company, with remote-work flexibility within the United States. The ideal candidate demonstrates a track record of building agentic solutions, tooling proficiency, tool usage patterns, guardrails evaluation, and a strong portfolio to discuss in detail.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of enterprise software, data, or AI architecture experience
- at least 1 year architecting or shipping generative AI or agentic systems
- ownership of meaningful technical work as a technical lead/senior engineer/architect on multi-stakeholder initiatives
- hands-on proficiency with Azure OpenAI stack (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry / AI Studio, AI Search) and OpenAI platform (Responses API, Agents SDK) and Anthropic platform (Claude API, MCP, skills)
- Microsoft Certified, Azure AI Engineer Associate (or willingness to earn within 90 days of hire) and willingness to pursue Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to work remotely within US business hours
- experience building agentic solutions and using AI tooling (Claude Copilot, Codex, etc.)
- experience with eval frameworks or in-house eval approaches
- responsible AI and governance experience in regulated industries (healthcare/financial/public sector)
- depth in RAG, fine-tuning, vector search tuning, multi-modal systems
- consulting or professional-services experience or prior work in a partner/ISV ecosystem
- experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio at enterprise scale
