Job Summary
Build and maintain internal tools, customer-facing apps, and automations using JavaScript, Node.js, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Develop projects ranging from AI email summarizers and sales coaches to automated time logs and client onboarding workflows, often integrating with QuickBooks, Zoho, and Microsoft Graph APIs. Work independently to create apps from scratch, test them, and ensure security best practices, while collaborating with the CEO, Head of IT, and Director of Operations. You will learn new technologies rapidly as projects vary widely, utilizing generative AI and OpenAI APIs where applicable. Available 9:30am–11:00am Eastern Time, Monday through Thursday, with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Full-stack developer who can independently build apps
- Ability to create apps from scratch independently
- Ability to test apps
- Ability to maintain apps
- Open to many different types of projects
- Creative, resourceful, innovative
- Fast & efficient coder
- Successful track record building useful apps
- Strong expertise in JavaScript
- Experience building complex apps in JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Ability to communicate in English fluently enough to discuss complex technical topics
- Familiarity with OAuth
- Ability to self-manage
- Available 9:30am to 11:00am Eastern Time, Mondays through Thursdays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js
- Familiarity with React or Angular
- Experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Deep expertise in SQL or NoSQL databases
- Experience with APIs like Microsoft Graph API and QuickBooks Online API
- Prior experience with Zoho Deluge
- Understanding of how to use OpenAI's GPT-4 API, including embeddings, fine-tuning, and more
- Skills and knowledge related to cybersecurity best practices
- Shell scripting
- Git for version control
- Automation and/or integration experience with Microsoft Office 365, or Zoho, or Google Workspace
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Close attention to detail
- Ideally, you have recently used generative AI in an app you built
