Job Summary
Design, test, and refine prompts to optimize large language models on the Abacus.ai platform, then build and deploy AI agents to automate tasks and improve operational workflows. Integrate these agents with APIs, databases, and software systems to create seamless solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements. Document processes, workflows, and best practices for prompt engineering and agent development, and provide training to team members on AI tools. Stay current with AI/ML advancements and apply them to real-world use cases, ensuring all outputs meet required standards and deadlines. This role requires a hybrid schedule of three days in our Eagan, MN office and two days remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related major
- OR an equivalent of 4 years of work experience in business analytics, BI development, software engineering, data science, or related field
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Academic projects and internships are considered valid experience
- Experience using and prompting large language models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Claude)
- Understanding of APIs, data integration, and general software development principles
- Familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and design creative AI-driven workflows
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that foster collaboration with project partners
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- A hybrid weekly schedule of three days in our Eagan, MN office and two days remote
- Ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary
- This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deploying AI solutions-at-scale
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools
- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., RPA, Zapier, UiPath)
- Prior experience in the construction, electrical, or technology industries is a plus
- Track record of thinking creatively to solve problems and generate innovative solutions
