Job Summary
Head Track and Field Coach responsible for organizing and supervising the total sports program, with coaching experience in major sports, deep knowledge of technical aspects of track and field, and ongoing evaluation of new theories and procedures. Must be able to serve as a positive role model for student athletes, supervise and coordinate a staff of coaches, implement athletic policies, and guide athletes in skill development, team strategy, discipline, and character development. The role includes designing conferences/clinics for staff, staff training, budgeting and equipment oversight, and maintaining effective public relations and mentorship for student athletes. Reports to the athletic director and collaborates with principals to ensure program success.
Required Qualifications
- Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
- Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport (Major sports)
- Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
- Serve as a role model for student athletes through instructions and actions
