Job Summary
Breast Medical Oncologist sought to join AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in the Kansas City metro area. Fellowship-trained oncologist with subspecialty focus in breast cancer will deliver patient-centered care, contribute to general oncology services, and help expand subspecialty programs in breast, thoracic, GI and GU. The role supports a team-based practice with six oncologists, access to research, clinical trials, tumor boards, and a multidisciplinary care team including nurse navigators, dietitians, social workers, oncology rehab, palliative care, and patient financial navigators. Schedule is Monday–Friday with a 1 in 6 call rotation and approximately 20 patients daily; 24-hour call coverage for inpatient and outpatient clinic. EMR is Epic. Required Qualifications
- Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Hematology and Medical Oncology
- Fellowship-trained oncologist with focus in breast cancer
- Experience or interest in breast cancer management
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients
- Strong communication and medical decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
