Agtek Technician

Job Summary
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to interpret requirements for heavy civil and roadway projects. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, and roadway items using company software such as Agtek, Bluebeam, and HCSS. Input and update data into estimating systems while coordinating with senior estimators to verify quantities and material requirements. Assist in organizing bid documents, maintaining project files, and gathering supplier and subcontractor quotes. Help maintain standardized takeoff templates and historical quantity databases to support accurate cost estimates.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with reading civil construction plans and performing basic measurements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Motivated to learn and grow in the construction estimating field
- Associate degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, or related field preferred (internship or field experience accepted)
- Experience with takeoff or design software (Agtek, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, HCSS, or similar) is a plus
- Associate degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
