Job Summary
Supervise operational staff through scheduling and regular coaching while coordinating branch operations including shipping, receiving, and delivering crop protection and nutrition products. Ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment, maintain premises appearance, and perform hands-on tasks such as loading, unloading, and operating plant machinery. Requires valid driver's license, willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons, and ability to handle customer inquiries and operational issues. This role supports Central Ontario FS's mission to deliver innovative agronomic solutions and precision ag services to local producers across Central and Southern Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Normally requires a high school diploma
- Leadership and team building skills
- Ability to work with office computer programs, such as inventory systems, electronic mail, internet/intranet
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills to handle customer inquiries, operational issues, and supervise staff
- Must possess a valid driver's license (preferably class DZ), a driving abstract that represents a history of safe operation, as well as the ability to maintain insurability
- Must be willing to work extended hours, during peak seasons
- Indoor/Outdoor working conditions with some lifting and climbing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- A current Ag Exterminator License, and/or Nutrient Technician License is a definite asset
- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Agriculture experience is an asset
