Job Summary
Agronomy Operations Research Specialist role in the Winfield United research program focusing on field operations, crop scouting, drone/GIS applications, and training summer interns. Responsible for plotting and preparing research sites, planning and coordinating research objectives, data workflows, safety/compliance, and collaboration with the Research Manager across multiple ND research plots. Requires ability to operate farm/research equipment, travel to plots, and demonstrate strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree strongly desired; experience in lieu of degree may be considered
- Class A CDL and Pesticide Applicators License within first 60 days of employment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to operate farm/research equipment
- Daily travel to research plots and occasional overnight travel
- Extended hours up to 60 hours from planting through harvest
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication and planning skills
