Job Summary
Interns will assist with installation and maintenance of school gardens, conduct agriculture-related presentations for high school youth, and participate in community engagement efforts. They will contribute to ongoing projects related to meat processing, wool production, gardening, farming, ranching, and live animal care, with opportunities to design and implement their own outreach, research, or entrepreneurship projects. The program builds skills in sustainable agriculture, public engagement, and professional development while supporting the Land Grant Office’s mission across the Navajo Nation; duty schedule includes 40 hours per week with possible weekend work in a hands-on, education-focused setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Able and willing to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer program period.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Interest in agriculture, natural resources, food systems, or community-based work.
