Job Summary
Instruct students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids to support a comprehensive secondary education program; prepare course objectives and outlines following curriculum guidelines; assign lessons, correct homework, and administer tests; maintain accurate records and attendance; foster a conducive classroom environment and collaborate with parents and staff; participate in faculty meetings and professional development; support implementation of policies and procedures and integrate 21st Century skills into classroom activities; assumes related duties such as sponsoring activities and advising student organizations as part of a 188-day contract.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Education from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Iowa teaching license with appropriate endorsements.
- Successful student teaching and/or prior teaching experience.
- Completion of Child Abuse Reporting Training.
