Job Summary
Sales Pro responsible for building and maintaining a productive and growing sales lead network across northern Iowa and southern Minnesota, communicating product information to farmers and customers, managing ongoing customer relationships, and supporting territory planning and trade-show activities. The role requires experience in agriculture/fertilizer sectors, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, CRM proficiency, and the ability to travel regionally (Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin) and participate in education and training conferences. The candidate should be a tech-savvy, team-oriented relationship-driven sales professional with strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and time-management skills, and a commitment to sustainable, soil-regenerating growing supplies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least three years of sales experience in lawn and garden, horticulture, soil media, compost and/or fertilizer; five years of experience preferred
- Experience as a Sales Agronomist highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing the deal
- Proficient with Salesforce or other CRM
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or similar software
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
