Job Summary
Agriculture Sales Professional responsible for building a productive sales lead network, communicating with customers and leads, maintaining relationships, introducing new products, and providing sales reporting and territory planning. Requires experience in the Agriculture, Lawn & Garden, Horticulture, Soil Media, and/or Fertilizer industry, with a focus on meeting targets through base salary plus performance-based commission. Travel within Minnesota and Wisconsin (and to regional trade shows) is expected. Ideal candidates are tech-savvy, team-oriented, and customer-focused, with strong sales, negotiation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field and 3+ years of sales experience in relevant sectors are preferred; Sales Agronomist experience is highly desirable; proficiency with Salesforce/CRM, Office and collaboration tools; valid driver's license; willingness to operate in a high-paced environment and uphold company values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least three years of sales experience in lawn and garden, horticulture, soil media, compost and/or fertilizer; five years of experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient with Salesforce or other CRM
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or similar software
