Agriculture Officer

Job Summary
The Agriculture Officer will lead the implementation of agriculture production activities under the HACAP program focusing on crop and vegetable production in Oromia Region. Responsibilities include providing technical support for market actors, facilitating capacity building, conducting field visits for assessment and mentorship, developing monitoring tools in collaboration with M&E teams, and compiling progress reports. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field, with at least three years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) in General Agriculture, Plant Science, Crop Production, Rural Development, or related subjects
- Minimum 3 years of experience in private sector and/or NGOs focusing on MSD and providing technical support
- Good understanding of the Markets4Poor approach
- Experience in supporting private sector-led enterprises in agro-pastoral settings
- Knowledge of participatory analyses
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
