Job Summary
Conduct agricultural data collection by interviewing farmers, ranchers, and rural businesses in person or by telephone, and perform crop counts in designated fields. Maintain detailed records of interviews, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked while representing NASDA and the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service. Work from a residence with an operable telephone, utilizing a personal vehicle for travel to field sites. This intermittent part-time position offers a competitive wage of $17.75/hour plus mileage, with opportunities for promotion based on performance. Candidates must reside within the advertised state of Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment
- Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions
- Ability to make crop counts in designated fields
- Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals
- Knowledge about computers or iPads
- Candidates must reside within advertised State
- Must be available for some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work flexible hours
