Job Summary
Agriculture Banking Officer responsible for administering and supporting Agriculture Lending activities, developing and maintaining a portfolio of commercial loans (secured and unsecured), and driving profitability with minimal risk. Key duties include making and recommending loan decisions within lending limits, managing and renewing a loan portfolio, providing financial insights and guidance to customers to strengthen banking relationships, actively developing new business through calls on prospects and customers, cross-selling Nicolet products and services, ensuring compliance with lending policies, and staying informed on regulatory requirements and industry trends. Requires travel up to 20% of the time and the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization to serve agricultural clients in NE and Central Wisconsin, with locations in WI, MI, MN, IA, and FL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in agricultural lending, financial statement analysis and credit administration required
- Thorough understanding of ag lending, underwriting standards, regulatory implications and pricing considerations
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to meet with business partners and monitor loan relationships across NE and/or Central Wisconsin
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work across organization and with third-party relationships
